The LEd (LaTeX Editor) was last released in 2009 and supported MikTeX 2.8 back then. To use it with MikTeX 2.9, open Configuration → Options and change these settings:
- Set TeX executables option to
C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin(32-bit Windows) orC:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin(64-bit Windows). - Leave the TeX distribution option at MikTeX 2.8
Tried with: LEd 0.53

New theme is nice, but all fonts look ugly
Win 7 x64 (FF 4, Opera 11, Chrome 10).
Feel free to delete this post.
Airmax: I am using FF4 on Win7 x64 and the font looks all right. Maybe it is looking different to you because your default language and font is Russian?
I have Windows 7, MikTex 2.9 and LEd 0.53. But my DVI-Viewer in LEd doesn’t show anything than a small blue box. Of course I have set the settings like above.
I need help, please!
Marc: The DVI viewer does not work for me either. I work with PDF, so this has not been a problem for me.
Hi there,
did you found out how to get back to work the DVI-Viewer?
Milan: No, the DVI viewer is still not working. I switched to another LaTeX editor named TeXMaker.
Believe or not, I did the same
Happy latexing!
In Windows XP, MikTex 2.9, LEd 0.53, Ghostscript 9.02 it worked fine with your configuration.
It interesting that in the options dialog, for the font searching library it says MiKTeX207-core.dll, but that file does not exist in my system.
Hi!
My LED DVI viewer still doesn’t work despite having Ghostscript 9.02, LED 0.53 and MikTex 2.9. I use Windows 7. Any advise?
Mia: Sorry. As I pointed out in an above comment, I have now switched to using TeXMaker.
@Mia, i tried the following:
http://hundredthreads.blogspot.com/2009/11/latexeditor-dvi-viewer-not-working.html
this works for me led0.53/win7_64bit/miktex2.9/gs9.04
Follow those instructions, set tex executables as above.
C:\Program Files (x86)\gs\gs9.04\lib;C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\ghostscript\base for fonts and if you still dont see any letters after compiling, try to open the .dvi file. The fonts will be installed et voila the internal dvi viewer works!
@Gied IT WORKS!!!
